KP-NUHW Bargaining Update, June 17, 2022

Conversation at our Friday, June 17, bargaining session was authentic and at times impassioned as we continued to address topics important to therapists and to Kaiser Permanente.

Topics of discussion included the importance of time off for therapists and of achieving a consistent approach to time off requests across the region ― which we are committed to. We also discussed the processes of posting and filling positions. Our dialogue about indirect patient care (IPC) time continued, with KP and NUHW continuing to air and discuss varying approaches. We remain optimistic that with continued bargaining we will reach an agreement about IPC time that meets our therapists’ needs and balances this high priority with the needs of our patients.

Thank you for continuing to make Kaiser Permanente a best place to receive care, and for your drive to help us work to continue being a best place to work in health care. Our next bargaining date is June 29. We offered the union additional bargaining dates in July and await their response. We will continue to keep you informed.
