KP-CNA Bargaining Update #34

Today, Kaiser Permanente and the California Nurses Association (CNA) met for the 34th day of contract negotiations.

What Happened

We’re pleased to announce that Kaiser Permanente and CNA reached another tentative agreement today, on nurse involvement in workplace safety committees. The new agreement provides a structure for nurses to join KP’s existing workplace safety committees, and a process for nurses to propose potential workplace safety projects.

We also presented a response to the union’s counter proposal on KP’s electronic job posting process. This will continue to be negotiated at the next bargaining session.

For the Record

We are encouraged by the momentum at the table and to have reached another tentative agreement.

What happens next

Bargaining is scheduled to resume on Tuesday, Dec. 5. We will continue to keep you informed.
