KP-CNA Bargaining Update #32

Today, Kaiser Permanente and the California Nurses Association (CNA) met for the 32nd day of contract negotiations.

What Happened

Kaiser Permanente presented an overview of the terms of a settlement regarding holiday pay for part-time benefitted KP nurses. The settlement is effective immediately. It simplifies holiday pay practices, clearly defines holiday pay scenarios, and ensures that part-time benefitted nurses will receive holiday pay without exhausting a “bank” of holiday hours. More information will soon follow.

In addition, KP and the union engaged in further discussion about training and education of nurses and nurse participation in workplace safety activities.
