UNAC/UHCP Bargaining Update, Feb. 8, 2024

To our physician assistants,

Kaiser Permanente has recently begun bargaining with the United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals (UNAC/UHCP). Our team is committed to bargain in good faith, and we are looking forward to reaching a mutually beneficial agreement with our physician assistants.

Earlier today, our bargaining team met for the second time with representatives of UNAC/UHCP. We discussed important topics, such as the safety and health of our employees, the grievance and arbitration process, the new employee orientation, as well as our commitment to a harassment free work environment. We look forward to our continued conversations and working together to reach some tentative agreements in the near future.

Our bargaining sessions will occur every other week, with the next meeting being scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 22. We will inform you of additional updates after that session.

Thank you for everything you do to help our organization deliver on our mission of providing high-quality, affordable care to our members, patients, and the communities we serve.
