KP – NUHW Bargaining Update, Nov. 19, 2021

This message is being sent on behalf of Debora Catsavas, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, KFHP/H; and Darin Tankersley, PhD, Chief of Medical Center Administration and Operations, TPMG.

This morning our bargaining team met with NUHW to resume negotiating in good faith in an effort to reach an agreement that will be good for our members and our mental health therapists.

While our team members were ready to bargain, some NUHW bargaining team members called in from crowded picketing sites or from their vehicles, which would not allow for productive bargaining, so the session had to end early. Unfortunately, this is being inaccurately characterized as the Kaiser Permanente team walking away from bargaining, but that is not what happened today.

We look forward to meeting again with the union and resuming negotiations under appropriate conditions. Our next bargaining session is scheduled for Dec. 8. We will continue to keep you informed.
