KP-NUHW bargaining update, Aug. 12, 2022
Kaiser Permanente is doing all we can to reach an agreement and believe there was forward movement in bargaining today.
We presented an enhanced offer not only for wages but for indirect patient care time (IPC), which has been a significant area of focus in bargaining. Union leadership is giving it thoughtful consideration ahead of our next bargaining session Saturday, Aug. 13.
Today, we achieved a tentative agreement on Model of Care, which will support mental health therapists and Kaiser Permanente managers and leaders in working collaboratively to surface additional evidence-based practices for mental health care and arrive at solutions for implementing them across the region, to our patients’ benefit.
We look forward to resuming negotiations tomorrow as we are committed to reaching an agreement that reflects our gratitude for you and the excellent and thoughtful care you provide our patients each day.
We will continue to keep you informed throughout the weekend and next week.
