KP-CNA Bargaining Update, Sept. 20, 2022

Yesterday in bargaining, Kaiser Permanente and the California Nurses Association (CNA) continued the steady momentum that has been the hallmark of these negotiations. We presented the union with four counter-proposals to address the union’s request to develop a standard staffing framework in Hospice, maintain the negotiated Home Health Care Level System within the contract, and concerns related to payroll errors and tracking of hours for our Quality Liaisons.

The tone of negotiations continues to be constructive and professional, reflecting both parties’ dedication to reaching a mutually beneficial agreement as soon as possible. We are striving to continue meeting the CNA bargaining team’s concerns with constructive movement, and we continue to be encouraged by progress so far, with 21 tentative agreements to date and more anticipated soon.

We are inspired each day by our nurses’ commitment to providing skilled, compassionate, personalized care to our patients, members, and their families. Our goal is a contract that rewards your great work dedication and helps Kaiser Permanente continue to be a great place to work and get care.

Our next scheduled bargaining date is Thursday, Sept. 22. We will continue to keep you informed. Thank you.
