KP-CNA Bargaining Update #39

Today, Kaiser Permanente and the California Nurses Association (CNA) met for the 39th day of contract negotiations.

What Happened

In today’s bargaining session, Kaiser Permanente concluded questions and answers at the table regarding the transition to the new patient acuity system. The union indicated it would respond to KP’s patient acuity system transition proposal this Thursday.

In addition, each party outlined the economic priorities they view as critical for reaching agreement on a new contract.

For the Record

Going forward, our full attention will be focused on economic proposals. We look forward to the union’s response.

What Happens Next

Bargaining is scheduled to resume on Thursday, Jan. 25. We will continue to keep you informed.
