KP-CNA Bargaining Update #27
Today, Kaiser Permanente and the California Nurses Association (CNA) met for the 27th day of contract negotiations.
What Happened
Kaiser Permanente rejected a union proposal on posting of training positions. We also withdrew our proposal that sought to clarify voluntary floating practices.
The union presented a revised version of its proposed side letter regarding safety committees.
For the Record
Kaiser Permanente has a deep, focused commitment to workplace safety, as demonstrated by the existence of active safety committees throughout our region. We welcome RN participation in these committees, as we believe our proposal of Oct. 18 makes clear. We look forward to further discussion with the union on this important matter.
What happens next
Bargaining is scheduled to continue Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017. We will continue to keep you informed.
